In early November the two presidential candidates , Donald Trump and Hillary Clinton , agreed to do a debate at Maywood School. This will be a crucial debate to see who will be our next president.
This idea occurred when Mr. Stern and Mr. Riley were talking about ideas for the drama class. The idea of having a presidential debate was floating around and they both decided it would be a great learning experience for the school. This will be a challenge for the drama class because they have to do research about both candidates and the positions of the candidates.
This debate is about the positions of Donald Trump and Hillary Clinton and where they stand on the issues of this election. Mattrix Miller will be playing the role of Hillary Clinton, Josh LaJuett will be playing the role of Donald Trump and Zachary Smith will be the moderator. The other people in the drama class will be acting as the town hall audience who will be asking questions to Donald Trump and Hillary Clinton about the candidates and their platforms.
The drama class will be practicing this presidential debate for about three weeks. The presidential debate will take place on November 4th in the morning. We are excited to see who will win this important debate!
